Weight Loss Program and Z-CoiL's Are a Good Combo-Especially With The Rewards Program (Good Until 1-14-09)

Vicki N. came in today for her second pair of Z-CoiLs. One year ago she bought her first pair of grey freedoms from the Pine St store. Today she bought a pair of black Tia's and L420 Lynco orthotics recommended by the I-Step Technology.

Vicki read our newsletter so she qualified for the setback prices (offer good only until 1-16-09).
Vicki also is a participant in our weight-loss rewards program. She will get a discount on the Z-CoiL shoes at the end of the year based on the weight loss difference registered between this week and the end of the year (Dec 27-31, 2009).

Vicki has gained weight since having her spine fused (three spinal surgeries) and after the eight foot surgeries. She has degenerative joint disease in her feet. She just came from having an MRI done on her foot.
She also has had a right knee replacement. Vicki says,"Since wearing the Z-CoiL shoes, my back and knees DON"T HURT AT ALL".
She was on prescribed extra strength tylenol for her pain, but after wearing the Z-CoiL shoes she does not need to take them any longer.
Vicki says,"They are super comfy which is amazing since I normally have such trouble fitting shoes (since the eight foot surgeries)."
She'll be back at the end of the year to retrieve her rewards for a year of hard work losing weight: discounts on her next pair of Z-CoiL footwear.

Grandma Said, "Don't Try To Save Money On Shoes or Food"

Susan B. came in today to buy her third pair of Z-CoiLs, a velcro black Z-walker.

She noticed her first pair of sandals purchased in the spring 3 years ago "was like walking on a pillow or a mattress."

She says, "I had loaned a pair of my black freedoms to my daughter thinking she would give them back, but she never did." I bought those to be my winter shoes.

She purchased her first pair of sandals from the podiatrist store in Ballard (consolidated now into the Pine St. store). She then went to DC for 10 days as a tourist. She walked the museums, the malls, everywhere. Her first experience with Z-CoiL: "I did not get tired walking so much with the Z-CoiL shoes. My legs and feet felt fine."

She relates having a bad left hip, but "Z-CoiL takes the hardness off the pounding pavement. My grandma always told me: Don't try to save money on shoes or food."

Polio Recovery Aided By Z-coil Footwear

Tracy and Bob C. came in today for their seventh pair (combined) of Z-coils.

Bob had polio as a child and although he had acupuncture and physical therapy to aid in the muscle development and pain control. As an adult he was never able to walk normally until he wore his first pair of Z-CoiL.

He first got introduced to the Z-CoiL when his wife recommended he try them at the Puyallup Fair 2-3 years ago. Bob says, "I took off (at the Puyallup Fair), started walking around, and I did not want to stop. The Z-CoiL's have corrected my gait, my gait is better now. I don't even realize when I am standing now with the Z-CoiL's on, and I sure did before wearing them." He owns a pair of the sandals, the blue and white freedom's and the anniversary shoes. Today he bought a pair of the gray freedom's.

Bob works as a legal librarian at 2 Union Square so he is on his feet standing a lot and bending down a lot. He recommends them to anyone, especially if "something on them isn't right about the way they walk or stand".

Tracy had seen them at the Puyallup Fair a few times and bought her first pair 2-3 years ago. At that time she talked her husband into trying them. She owns a pair of the sandals and the blue and white freedoms. Today she bought a pair of the zueco strap shoes. She had the toe of the shoe stretched to accomodate for her hammertoe.

Tracy had back surgery with 2 rods and 25 screws. Her back was really bad before her surgery, but the Z-coils helped with the pain. She now has difficuty with bending at the waist due to the rods in her back.

Tracy works as an esthetician. She says, " Z-CoiL shoes cushions so much that when I walk I notice it does not jam my back with the impact. It is so hard to go back to regular shoes since these help so much."

Z-CoiL Pain Relief Footwear Are The Most Intelligent Shoes I Know

John S. came in today for his sixth pair of Z-Coils, the grey freedoms. He also has two pairs of anniversary freedoms, two pairs of the blue and white z-coils, and a pair of hiking boots. " I keep one pair of the blue and white freedoms outside my door for walking the dog or hiking, it's the "dirty shoe".

John has a lot of praise to share about his experiences with Z-CoiLs:
John says," Six years ago my doctors said I could never run again. I had a partial meniscus removal done on my left knee. I don't run, but I hike and walk a lot when about five years ago I was introduced to the Z-CoiL footwear. They saved my knee!"

" Now I can walk and hike Mt. Baldee at my summer home in Sun Valley,Idaho without getting that bone-tired feeling. The trail is well maintained and well traveled. I don't ever get rocks in the coil, they are fantastic. I also have a house in Hawaii (my grandchild is about to be born so I leave next week for Hawaii). There I go hiking on the beach in my Z-Coils. Anytime I work out on the elliptical machine I wear my Z-CoiL's. These are one of the smartest things out there."

"If I am out site-seeing (traveling all over the world), I tend to lean back onto the coils more, getting that extra stretch to the back of my legs (my Achilles and hamstrings). My legs feel like they are 10 years old. I feel younger walking in them."

"I was forced to walk upright and correctly in my Z-coil footwear. These are the most intelligent shoes I know. Everywhere I go kids ask me about them. We were given by nature only so many features. These add something to us that is missing. Everyone working and walking on their feet should be wearing these. They are crazy not to be wearing these. I tell so many people about you and send them your way. I hope you never go out of business."

The Doctors TV Show: Top 10 Health Trends of 2009

Episode 1076 - January 7, 2009 → Z-Coil Shoes

The Doctors count down the Top 10 Health Trends of 2009!

Join The Z-CoiL Discussion on the Doctors TV Forum

- Love these shoes! I have bad knees too, and since I started wearing Z-Coils I am pain free! I agree with reality_curious that these shoes are more forgiving than most as the coil will adjust itself on uneven ground better. I run outside with them and they’re great. Thanks, Z-Coil! (jewbana)

- I have been wearing these shoes for about a year at the initial urging by a friend of mine. Over the years I have suffered a number of injuries, most as a result of a head on collision 22 years ago. I had three knee surgeries, a compressed disc, two herniated discs and a resulting bone spur on my spine. In addition, I previously broke both my feet in separate accidents.

I didn’t think these shoes would help, but after a little coaxing I now own three pairs, the sneaker, dress shoe and a hiking boot. I hiked twice in the hiking boot each time for over 5 miles. I love them! I am glad to see they are making it to the mainstream! I always get a lot of questions when I wear them. (ChiTown)

Donate at Zcoil of Seattle 1201 Pine St Seattle,Wa 98101 Soles4Souls

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Z-coiL of Seattle ANNOUNCES SHOE DRIVE TO BENEFIT
SOLES4SOULS™ Inc., THE SHOE CHARITY,
AT 1201 Pine St, Seattle, Wa 98101 ON 1/5/09

Seattle residents are invited to recycle their 'gently worn' shoes for people in need

Nashville, TN – DATE – Every 19 seconds, Soles4Souls Inc. gives away another pair of shoes to someone in need. The shoe charity has earned glowing endorsements from Hollywood stars and professional athletes, but the people that truly make the non-profit organization effective are those who clean out their closets to personally drop off their ‘gently worn’ shoes at a participating location, such as 1201 Pine St, Seattle, WA 98101.

Soles4Souls and Z-coil of Seattle will be collecting your gently worn footwear and/or donations to ship the shoes to people in need, whether they are victims of a natural disaster or subject to living in extreme poverty. It is estimated that Americans have 1.5 billion pairs of unused shoes lying in their closets. The charity can use each and every one of these pairs to make a tangible difference in someone's life.

“We can use the shoes taking up space in your closet to change the world one pair at a time,” Elsey said.  “We need our partners in Seattle to 'STEP UP' and get behind our call for action.  It’s one of the most simple yet profound gifts you can make, because it will greatly improve someone’s life in the most difficult of times,” he said.

ABOUT THE LOCATION AND DATE

People and companies interested in donating can visit the organization’s website at www.giveshoes.org, and follow the instructions.

About Soles4Souls
“It seems a natural fit: The mission of seeking to recycle the shoes folks toss after they purchase their new pain relief footwear at Z-coil of Seattle,” says owner Lotchie Kerch.
Our Seattle store specializes in providing services and products for the relief of foot, leg and back pain. Being the largest retailer in Washington state for Z-coiL shoes, the multiple styles of the shock absorbing footwear can be viewed at our convenient location at the corner of Minor and Pine (lower Capital Hill).

Nashville-based Soles4Souls™ facilitates the donations of both new and used shoes, which are used to aid the hurting worldwide. Soles4Souls has distributed more than 3.9 million pairs (currently donating one pair every 19 seconds) to people in over 70 countries, including Honduras, Uganda, Romania, and the United States.  The charity has been featured recently in Runner's World and the Green Guide by National Geographic.  It has also appeared on CNN, NBC, ABC, FOX, CBS, and hundreds of regional outlets around North America.  Soles4Souls is a 501(c)(3) recognized by the IRS; donating parties are eligible for tax advantages. Visit www.giveshoes.org  for more information.

To impact as many lives as possible with the gift of shoes, we at Z-coil of Seattle, 1201 Pine St, Seattle, WA have become a donation site for Soles4Souls. By donating to Soles4Souls, they facilitate the donations of shoes, which are used to aid the hurting worldwide. Donate new and used shoes to us, then we coordinate with Soles4 Souls who cleans the shoes and distributes them to victims of recent disasters such as Hurricanes Katrina & Rita and to those in need of footwear around the world. Soles4Souls have given away more than 3 million pairs of shoes. Unfortunately, this figure pales in comparison to the need that exists. More than 300million children around the world don’t own a single pair of shoes. A sad irony is that the same amount of footwear was thrown into American landfills last year alone. Footwear may not cure cancer, or alleviate hunger, or fight AIDS. But shoes certainly do play a part in lifting the spirits of people struggling to improve their lives. It’s a simple yet effective way to erase the stigma of poverty, stop puncture wounds, end scrapes and prevent burns to feet of the poor and destitute. And it’s something we all have, in abundance, lying in our closets. Used running shoes are particularly valuable, since most are still in great shape.
