Overlake Hospital Nurse in Z-coils for Two Years

Carol Connelly has worked ten hours a day, four days a week at the pre-op department of Overlake Surgery Center for what seems "forever", she says.

She was in Sequim two years ago at a restaurant with three other nurses when they noticed the waiter was wearing Z-coil footwear. Carol says, "I thought he blew his mind. I bought my first pair of white Freedom 2000 Z-coils from the Bellevue store(now that store is closed). One and a half weeks ago I bought my second pair, the Spring Z. However, I like the laced athletic style better and came in to exchange them for a blue and white Freedom Z-coil. I have just been wearing them at work so they last a long time."

Frequent occurrences are that she is the center of conversations with patients: "Grab that nurse because she has to tell me about those shoes". One nurse said," Oh, she's just an illegal alien".

Carol says," My plantar fascitis has been helped immensely by wearing the Z-coil footwear. I love my Z-coils." Posted by Picasa

Aren't They Adorable in Their Z-coils? Fifth Pair for Mary

This adorable Z-coil couple found us only after the Bellevue store closed.

Mary Lawrence started wearing her first pair a couple of years ago or so. She says, "Prior to wearing Z-coils I was unable to stand in place for longer than 5 minutes. I had a lot of difficulty walking to the point of needing disability parking. Now I am able to volunteer in a position that requires me to walk three hours at a time." Mary and Tim needed the foot bed of the Z-coils heat adjusted to a wider arch to provide more room and comfort for their arches. Mary also obtained a rubber wedge into the lateral coil to inhibit supination, or rolling out of the foot. Mary bought her fifth pair today- the Signature Anniversary shoe. She also had her coils replaced on her first pair of purchased Z-coils. We will be mailing her Anniversary out tommorrow since we are stretching the toe of the shoes out tonight.

Tim is a system administrator working on mainframes. He bought his third pair of Z-coil's today, trading his brown hikers for blue and white freedoms. He is wearing his new Spring Z's in the photo. We replaced his black freedom coils today with a new pair. Two pairs of his Z-coil footwear needed the left coil rotated 180 degrees in order to redistribute the pressure points in his heel and arch. His co-workers urged him to get the adjustments done on his Z-coils so he would wear them more. "I couldn't walk or stand in one place for more than a few minutes until I found Z-coils. (They) are the best shoes I have ever worn."

While in the store Mary mentioned doing back exercises, so we did a yoga workout including the pigeon pose.

Mt. Rainier hike to Panorama Point wearing Z-coil footwear

Lotchie is pictured here in her Z-coils hiking to Panaroma Point at Mt Rainier. There are more photos of the hike by clicking on the link below. One shows Lotchie's hiking companion, Vicki, sledding down in the snow with the beautiful wildflowers in the background. There was a marmot and a deer. Other hikers saw the mountain goats. It was blazing hot down the mountain, but quite cool here as the sunset. See Mt. Adams and Mt.St. Helens in the background.

Lotchie's July Birthday Month ends at the North Olympic National Park Coast- Rialto Beach's Hole in the Wall

David and Lotchie are pictured in front of "Hole in the wall". They hiked several miles along Rialto Beach's wild coast and chose a campsite on the beach facing a large sea arch called "split rock". Further down the beach, around a few points, are the memorials to the crews from sunken ships scattered along the rocky shores.

49 years young, Lotchie has packed the month full of activities starting at Yosemite, then a hike with snow sledding at Mt. Rainier's panorama point, Shakespeare's plays (free in Seattle's parks), and ending the month enjoying the offerings of the Olympics: swimming in Lake Quinalt and Crescent Lake, hiking along the pristine coast, and witnessing a glorious sunset. Happy Birthday Lotchie!

Billings, Montana mom Visits Seattle in her Z-coil

Jean Sigmund from Billings, Montana bought her second pair of Z-coil footwear a year ago in May for plantar fascitis. "My next pair I would like to have in a taupe color since it would match everything. When I started wearing the Z-coil footwear, I had no more foot pain. After I wore them for two hours the first time and I felt a big difference. It helped my low back pain so much so, I have not had to go in for a chiropraactic adjustment for two years." Her son lives here in Seattle. Posted by Picasa

Richard Jokes in his Fourth Pair of Z-coil- "Inspector Gadget"

Richard Olmsted came in today for his fourth pair of Z-coil footwear. He purchased the Spring Z style since it gave his bunions a lot of room. He has worked in the service department at American Fast Freight Consolidators for the past twenty years. He walks on concrete and asphalt for ten hour days/four days per week.

He first had back surgery 33 years ago which was repeated five years later for repair of herniated discs. He was diagnosed with Parkinsons three years ago.

Three years ago, Richard's wife Kathy was visiting her sister, Betty, in Hoquiam who happened to be wearing a pair of Z-Coils. Her sister had said that they helped her a lot doing the tasks of caretaker for her husband, Bill, ever since his stroke. Kathy tried them on and exclaimed, "I feel like I'm walking on air." She then had her husband, Richard, try them on. He felt better with them on.

So they hunted down their first pairs of Z-coil in Oregon. Kathy wears her Z-coil while on the treadmill and is concerned about her bunions. Richard bought the work boots and a pair of Freedoms from the Oregon store. THey have been telling everyone they know about the Z-coil footwear. He later purchased a pair from the Bellevue store (now closed). They errantly went to the Bellevue store today and upon discovering the Bellevue store was closed they were given our location by the 800 z-coil #.

Richard is definitely sold on the z-coil since he no longer is having ankle, knee, hip or back pain.

Kathy says she works in the office at the same location with Richard. She has noticed a big difference at the end of the day upon seeing Richard - he "just does not look as worn out ". We fitted Kathy into a pair of Lyncos to control her pronation today. Even though the cost of the shoes may sound expensive to some, it is amazing how long they last since they are so well made. Jason, Wanda, and Diana: A Family of Z-coil Wearers

Jason, Wanda and Diana came over from Ellensburg to buy more Z-coil footwear. Diana is the first evangelist. She is a sculptor in Scottsdale and heard about the benefits of Z-coil from another artist 2 years ago. She bought her second pair Monday (Taos Zipper).

Jason Kaynor, LMP is a back pain therapist in Ellensburg. His career decision followed an accident that left him with two herniations. After visiting Aunt Diana in Scottsdale in February, he brought back his first pair of Z-coils for his mom. Now he is wearing his first pair today- a high desert hiker. Since they were seeing they were seeing the sights today around Seattle, his feet also had begun to hurt, until he put on the new hikers. Now his foot pain is gone, too.Posted by Picasa

He can be reached for an appointment at 509-899-4589 and "Balance for the Body Massage Therapy" is located at 305 N. Anderson in Ellensburg.

Last, but not leaset, is Jason's mom Wanda. Wanda is the owner of "Better Life for Dogs" which is a vacation resort for your dog (boarding and training) in Ellensburg. She calls herself a dog wrangler.
After her right knee was injured, and arthroscopic surgery made it worse, she was told she would have to wait until she was 60 years old before she could have a knee replacement. She was told to "Live in Pain".
When Jason brought the Freedom Z-coil in February from Diana in Scottsdale, she had immediate relief from her knee and back pain.
If she goes with out them she has to start icing her knees by 3 PM.
Monday, her lovely sister Diana gifter her with two more pairs of Z-coils. Thanks sis!

Wanda can be reached at 509-925-2200 located at 2111 Tjossem Rd. in Ellensburg.
